OBJECTIVES

  • To enhance collaboration among GPD researchers locally and globally.
  • To raise awareness among the public of GPD findings.
  • To offer consultations to stock holders.
  • To attract grants for the Labs projects and sponsorship for its activities.
  • To act as a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas for teaching English and Arabic law modules, national and international contexts.
  • To act as a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas for research collaboration and research projects as well as research funding applications.
  • To generate and promote awareness of research opportunities.
  • To increase and act as a channel to disseminate the research outputs of its members.
  • To organize research seminars and workshops.

Provide quality research in Governance & Policy Design issues and contribute to strengthen the legal system and the society by developing skilled lawyers and researchers who serve diverse communities.

MISSION

  • Governance & Policy Design Research Lab (GPDRL) aims to launch outstanding research that promotes the rule of law and serves the societies of the region.
  • It is committed to conduct such researches which will lead legal changes to serve the interests of the society and the regional/ international community.
  • It will find out the causes and roots which will prepare lawyers that can contribute to society in various capacities within the local, national, regional and global governance structures and organizations.

OUR WINGS

Capacity Building Wing (CBW)

VISION: The Wing commits developing, promoting, and supporting advanced interdisciplinary studies and research that lie at the intersection of law and policy within the area of Governance and Policy design. It will endeavor to strengthen public policy through independent, non-partisan and rigorous research and analysis. It promises to strengthen law graduates, academicians, and legal professionals in the field of Governance and Policy design and develop and contribute to multidisciplinary research.
MISSION: The Wing will organize research workshop, seminars, and field-driven activities with the key stakeholder to improve their research capability in empirical and legal analysis to produce quality publication, reports, and policy brief. The Wing activities facilitate fact-based actionable solutions to overcome existing public policy challenges and help design more sustainable and futuristic policy guidelines in any area of law.

Collaboration & Media Wing (CMW)

VISION: The Wing will create an outstanding climate of support among PSU researchers and enable the achievement of excellence by the research community by partnering with distinguished and internationally renowned scientific and research institutions.
MISSION:The Wing partners with national and international community to create a culture of high achievement, promote shared responsibly, the ethical conduct of research, and compliance, broaden strong relationships with existing and potential sponsors and enhance the ability to perform research in a global community. The Wing is committed to providing a culture of continuous learning for all research by making all necessary tools for high performance.

Public Law Research Wing (PBLRW)

VISION: The Wing is committed to nurturing and encouraging the researchers of the future in the area of pubic law to exercise professional judgment in conducting a cooperative research project and Interact effectively as a team member.
MISSION: The Public Law Research Wing seeks to proceed to further and more complex study in the field of law and take on greater responsibility for their own learning in this regard that enables researchers to assess the extent and efficiency of various control mechanisms, in particular, the legitimacy and extent of judicial controls.

Private Law Research Wing (PRLRW)

VISION: Provide an intellectually stimulating research environment in private law systems, especially in areas that affect sustainable development, in line with the vision of the College of Law and Vision 2030 through continuous academic and research activities and the development of appropriate professional skills, knowledge, and values through training.
MISSION: The Wing seeks to foster research and scholarship in the area of private law by Identifying and analysing the practical and policy implications of current and proposed statutes, regulations, judicial rulings, legal arguments, and strategies.

Commercial & International Law Research Wing (CILRW)

VISION: The Wing is to yield quality research in Commercial and International Law and related issues. It will also strengthen the legal system and society by developing expert lawyers and researchers in commercial and International Law.
MISSION: Commercial and International Law Research wing aims to launch outstanding research that promotes the rule of law on commercial activities and serves the regions societies. The Wing is committed to conducting commercial and international research, which will lead to legal changes to serve societys interests and the regional/global community.

VISION: Provide quality training in Governance & Policy Design issues, thereby strengthening the legal system and society by developing skilled lawyers and researchers who serve diverse communities.
MISSION: The Wing aims to launch training that promotes the rule of law and serves the regions societies. It is committed to conducting such training to lead legal changes to serve societal interests and the regional/ international community. It will provide trainees with the skills which will prepare them to serve their clients and the society in various capacities within the local, national, regional, and global governance structures and organizations.
