PSU Maintains #1 Ranking in Research Quality Among Saudi Universities for the Second Consecutive Year
Prince Sultan University (PSU) has achieved a significant milestone by once again securing the #1 position in Research Quality among Saudi universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2026. This marks the second consecutive year that PSU has led in this category.
The ranking evaluates universities based on several key research quality indicators, including citation impact, research strength, research excellence, and research influence. These indicators reflect the depth, rigor, and global reach of PSU’s scholarly contributions.
Out of more than 2,000 universities worldwide, PSU achieved an exceptional Research Quality Score of 92.2, surpassing other leading Saudi institutions such as King Abdulaziz University (87.1), King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (85.7), and King Saud University (82.7). This consistent top performance highlights PSU’s ongoing commitment to advancing research excellence and expanding its global academic presence.
