PSU Welcomes a Delegation from the Ministry of National Guard

Prince Sultan University recently welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of National Guard, which included:
- Eng. Majed Alabdulkarim – General Supervisor of Digital and Technical Services at the Ministry of National Guard and its affiliated entities;
- Major General Dr. Abdullah Alanazi – Commander of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz College for Command and Staff;
- Advisor Youssef Alsalem – Digital and Technical Services;
- Advisor Tareq Almakhthab – Digital and Technical Services;
- Lieutenant Colonel Adel Aldhuwaid – King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz College for Command and Staff;
- Lieutenant Colonel Abdulkarim Al-Issa – King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz College for Command and Staff.

The delegation was received by Dr. Saad Alrwaita (Acting President of the University), Dr. Mohamed Aljibreen (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Dr. Heba Khoshaim (Vice President for Student Life Quality), and Prof. Dhafer Almakhles (Director of the Research and Initiatives Center). They welcomed the guests and emphasized the university’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with national entities in scientific research, innovation, and digital transformation. A documentary film highlighting the university’s history and achievements was also presented.

The visit included an introductory tour of several facilities, including the Robotics and Internet-of-Things Lab, the Research and Initiatives Center, the Renewable Energy Lab, and the Smart Systems Engineering Lab. During the tour, the delegation reviewed several research projects and technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence, the internet of things, intelligent systems, and sustainable energy.

Discussions during the visit also explored areas of cooperation between the university and the Ministry of National Guard, including knowledge and technology transfer, the development of research-based and applied solutions that meet operational needs, the implementation of training programs and specialized fellowships, and the engagement of ministry personnel in research projects and applied laboratories. These efforts aim to contribute to technology localization and the development of national capabilities.

The visit concluded with a tour of Riyadh Space Manart, where the delegation learned about advanced technological initiatives and projects that support the research and development ecosystem and national capacity building. At the end of the visit, the Ministry of National Guard delegation expressed its appreciation for the advanced scientific and technological capabilities they observed. At the same time, Prince Sultan University affirmed its pride in the visit and its commitment to strengthening future cooperation in support of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
