S&M research lab aspires to be a nationally leading and internationally recognized lab in the area of structures and materials engineering for community development.
To promote scientific research on civil and mechanical engineering at PSU, through international collaboration with industrial and academic partners.
To develop reliable solutions for current challenges to sustain the economic and social development in Saudi Arabia inline with 2030 vision.
Create a dynamic research environment at PSU within the prescribed areas.
Attract external funds and grants to PSU.
Provide consultation services to the industry.
Develop engineering solutions for Saudi industries in collaboration with international companies and consulting firms, within the research lab scope.
Provide training programs to communities in the areas of interests.
Actively encourage undergraduate and graduate students to participate in scientific research.
Establish international collaboration with reputed research groups, labs, and institutions.
Contribute to the enrichment of knowledge and awareness about new technologies and engineering software in the field of interest.
The Research and Initiative Center (RIC) is the administrative research structure at Prince Sultan University that provides faculty members with different research services.
