SSEL Organizes 3rd Workshop at IEEE ISC2 2025

The Smart Systems Engineering Lab (SSEL) is proud to announce the organization of the 3rd Workshop on “The Future of Learning in Smart Cities: Integrating Smart Technologies for Innovative Solutions”, to be held as part of the 11th IEEE International Smart Cities Conference (ISC2 2025).

This highly anticipated workshop will explore the transformative role of smart technologies—such as AI, IoT, digital twins, immersive learning environments, and intelligent infrastructure—in shaping the future of education in urban environments.


A central theme will be the development of inclusive smart campuses, with a focus on supporting neurodiverse learners and promoting lifelong learning for all.


The event aims to bring together researchers, industry practitioners, educators, and policymakers committed to reimagining how education is designed, delivered, and experienced in smart cities.


We strongly encourage student participation, including submissions based on:

  • Final year projects or undergraduate dissertations
  • Research-in-progress
  • Proofs of concept (PoCs)
  • Proposed methodologies or frameworks
